The Herald-News highlights UroLift® procedure at Advanced Urology Associates
Advanced Urology Associates Dr. Greg Andros was recently interviewed for a full-page feature article in the Herald-News Health & Fit magazine. The article makes note that he performed one of the first UroLift® System surgeries in Illinios, designed to relieve symptoms men experience due to an enlarged prostate or BPH. Since then, over 100 more patients have elected to undergo this minimally invasive surgery.
Dr. Andros describes a big point of difference, “What makes Advanced Urology Associates unique was its ability to perform procedures which require anesthesia at the Joliet clinic in an outpatient setting, instead of the patient checking into a hospital.”
The article goes on to point out that “this minimally invasive procedure takes 30 minutes in the office and patient can wake up to no catheter in the bladder which is unique.”
